Privacy
The house keeps as little about you as it can and shares none of it. This website keeps nothing at all.
This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads nothing from any other website and records nothing about your visit beyond what the servers that deliver it must handle to do so. The forms on this site do not send what you type anywhere: registration and appointment requests are prepared in your browser so that you can see what the house would need, and the certificate check is made against an index kept inside the page. To make a request, write to the address given on the page.
Some pages remember, in your own browser’s storage, small things such as whether you have signed in to a page for the house’s agents. That information never leaves your device and can be cleared by clearing your browser’s storage for this site.
Keepers
For registered keepers, the house keeps a name, a postal address, an email address and the certificate numbers of the pieces they keep, with a record of letters exchanged and services carried out. It uses these only to write about those pieces. It does not sell, share or lend the register, and has refused every request to do so, including from other makers, auction houses and, on two occasions, governments, which were referred to the courts and did not pursue the matter.
Penfield instruments
The license for the Penfield Mk IV forbids the Association to sell or share usage data. The house goes further and does not collect it. An instrument’s settings history is held on the instrument and nowhere else. The Turing Registry’s auditors may read it only with the keeper’s written permission and in the keeper’s presence.
The Register of Provenance
The Register records the names of the makers of every piece, because Article I requires it, and the names of keepers, because the house must know whom to write to. Keepers’ names never appear in public copies of certificates or in the public index used by the verification page.
Your rights
You may ask to see everything the house holds about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted when you no longer keep a Rosen piece. Write to privacy@rosenassociation.org. The house will reply within the week and act within thirty days. Residents of California, Washington, Switzerland and the European Union have additional rights under their own laws, and the house honors all of them for everyone.
