For journalists and researchers

Press office

The press office answers every enquiry within the day, and every question it can within the week. The President does not give interviews; the office can arrange almost anything else.

Enquiries

press@rosenassociation.org. Please say what you are writing, for whom and by when. Enquiries about the Nexus-6 recall are answered by the Recall Office; about the Penfield Mk IV, by the Penfield division; about certificates, by the Provenance Office. The press office will put you in touch.

Spokespeople

  • Rachael Rosen, Director, Provenance and Public Affairs, speaks for the house on authenticity, provenance and the Owl.
  • Dr. Marguerite Okafor-Lind, Director, Penfield, on the Mk IV and the dosage audit.
  • Ingrid Halvorsen-Vey, Director, the Recall Office, on the Nexus-6 recall, in writing only.
  • Ottilie Brandvold, Master of the Atelier, on making, by appointment and at the Atelier.

About the house

For use without permission:

The Rosen Association is an association of makers constituted at Seattle in 1911, which makes lifelike machines and certifies the provenance of each. Its pieces include the Rosen Owl, a replica bird made between 2008 and 2019; the Penfield instrument; and, until its recall in 2024, the Nexus-6. It has no shareholders.

Drawings

The Atelier drawings on this site may be reproduced in editorial coverage of the house, with the credit Atelier drawing [number], the Rosen Association. They may not be altered, cropped to remove the archive number, or used to illustrate anything the house did not make. Larger reproductions are supplied on request.

Photographs

The house does not supply photographs of its pieces and does not permit photography in the Atelier. Photographs of the Owl may be taken in the Salon without flash, provided the plaque is visible.
